Women with Disabilities Health Promotion for Women with Disabilities Web Site
Welcome to the Health Promotion for Women with Disabilities Web Site. This web site is funded by a grant from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation to the Villanova University College of Nursing. It is designed to provide you, as a woman with a disability, with information about health promotion. We hope that you can then be an informed user of health care, can ask the right questions of your doctor or nurse, and you can take actions to have a healthier life style and a better quality of life. This web site is meant to address issues shared by women with various types of disability. Not all the material will apply to all women, but this information can be useful to women who want to learn more about their own health and about ways to improve their health and quality of life. The purpose of this web site is to provide information about health promotion. It is not intended to prescribe particular treatment. We strongly urge you to consult with your doctor or nurse before you begin or change any treatment. This web site contains links to other web sites. The Health Promotion for Women with Disabilities Project is not responsible for the content of these web sites or their requests for your personal information.
We welcome your comments about the site and your ideas about topics that you would like to see added. If you would like to complete a survey to tell us what health topics interest you, please click on the "Interest Survey" link below:
